The WisNavigators Course helps middle school students (ages 11–13) develop Python coding, Ai, data analysis, and software development skills through hands-on projects. Students gain confidence in applying Ai to real-world problems, building basic applications, and using technology safely and responsibly.
As technology grows, learning coding, Ai, cybersecurity, and ethics is becoming important—even for middle school students. This syllabus introduces students to Python programming, Ai concepts, chatbots, computer vision, generative Ai, and the importance of staying safe online.
Students will explore how Ai, coding, and data analysis work together to create simple real-world applications, while also learning key cybersecurity and ethical principles to protect personal and digital information.
Understanding these ideas builds problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and digital awareness, preparing students to confidently explore technology, Ai, and software development in the future.
✅ Python Basics: Learn variables, loops, conditionals, and programming concepts to understand how machines follow instructions and prepare for building Ai applications.
✅ Ai Chatbots: Explore how chatbots work and create simple interactive bots using Python and Ai.
✅ Computer Vision: Understand how machines interpret images and create basic recognition applications.
✅ Generative Ai: Develop basic concept applications for real-world industries using Ai logic.
✅ Cybersecurity Concepts: Learn safe internet practices, strong passwords, personal data safety, online privacy, and recognizing unsafe content.
✅ Ethics: Understand right vs wrong in technology use, digital responsibility, and making ethical choices when working with Ai and data.
✅ Ai Coding Projects: Apply Python and Ai to solve practical problems and create working applications.
✅ Smart Integration: Combine Python and Ai features to build intelligent programs that automate simple tasks.
✅ Capstone Project: Design and present a complete Ai-powered application demonstrating your learning.
✅ Certificate of Completion: Earn a certificate after successfully completing the course and demonstrating understanding of key concepts.
The course is structured over 32 weeks (32 hours), with instruction divided into eight modules. Each module is designed to build on the previous one, ensuring a smooth learning curve. Classes are held once a week, with each session lasting one hour.
Equipping middle school students with digital skills is essential for their academic success and future career opportunities.
